My mum's sambal petai really rocks. YUM! (I didn't want to eat rice so here it is!) To the ignorant, the petai is also known as the SMELLY BEAN. It's pungent and peeps who have never tried it may find the taste and smell overwhelming. The anticipation when an eagerly awaited book is finally out and I can get my trembling hands on its brand new, drool worthy cover is worth every moment of the pure agonizing wait.

My heart pounds in excitement and I practically want to scream with the joy of finally being able to read it. Little shivers literally run up my spine and its ecstasy in pure undiluted form. Nothing can compete with the joys of a new book, one I have been totally and obsessively awaiting. No male in this world can even compete. Romance between the sheets (pun intended) and better than in real. You may think its sad, but what you think ain't my problem!

I am planning a date with my fifth book in JR Wards Brotherhood of the Black Dagger. And not with public transport either. I've been also having a headache the last couple of days. Either its from overwork or from the bad weather, or maybe just plan unsatisfactory sleep. I'll be glad when its all over. Poorer but relieved. Rest is essential and I would love to have a solid week off from working.

Yea, people think tutors have an easy life and admittedly, its not as stressful as working full time in schools.

I was travelling on BUS 176, quite absorbed in my own thoughts and daydreaming when I noted the amount of people on the BUS. Both teenagers and older folk. It was somewhere in the afternoon and a weekday to boot, so the crowd surprised me.

What was more surprising, I noted that several of the teens (young men) attempted to give up their seats when the old folks boarded the bus. The scene is so rare (to me) that it stayed on my mind since. It's evidence that the younger generation isn't all lost to self-absorped 'me me me' syndrome so common in Singapore.

Then there was the other day, on the same BUS 176, where the bus driver was SO nice! One of the passengers couldn't find his link card and when he finally did, the driver let him drop off at the traffic light, even though the bus was already past the stop. Same driver also reminded an elderly couple with their grandson, which stop to alight.

It made my day just to see such kindness extended to others!

(I believe its now considered sexual harrassment to even make such jokes....)

To me, PMS isn't so much a medical term as a state of being. Permanent Moody Syndrome. I become anti-social, my temper's like a steadily burning fuse that explodes when triggered and I just want to stay at home and wallow. I start bingeing like there's no tomorrow and midnight snacking is a norm. Basically my life takes the fast route to hell and every silver cloud begins having a doomsday lining. To make matters worse, I get hives every time I so much as touch anything with prawns, shrimp or seafood (sans fish thank GOD). I don't even have to eat them, just have them associated with watever I am eating.

I never used to have cramps during THAT TIME OF THE MONTH, but now I get it during PMS! (Maybe I should check if he's single....=P)

I still remember briefly scanning through my Multiply network and reading Michelle's friend's comments (Jane?) about how the first thing anyone asks her is if she's attached. I get that alot...with my relatives, when I go visiting. There's just something about being single (and available) that seems to stick in the older generations craw...especially after you've reached a certain age and all other cousins, friends, brothers, sisters (tho my bro is divorced and my sis in the same state of spinsterhood that I am) are married and having kids.

I once had this conversation with my sister. Is there something wrong with us? Are we like super ugly, have disgusting habits, emit 'STAY FAR AWAY FROM US' pheromones? If any of you have met my sis, you know she's attractive, has a great personality and the most patient and sweetest of souls (of course that also means she has a higher standard of requirement for her future partner). Heck with her around, who would look at me? (Nobody believes we are related anyway...only my parents .

Either that or there's a derth of males with sufficient grey matter to notice.(Ah..I guess this is one reason guys stay away - caustic humour). Anyways, the point of this whole verbal diarrhoea (heck could never spell it correct) is to introduce eHARMONY (online matchmaking/dating to neophytes like me). For girls(in the gender not age sense) like me, where my line of work doesn't throw me at hordes of guys (I wish), it's probably one of the more feasable options to meeting someone new.

My sis and I are both using it to get to know more people (potential soulmates/partners, whatyoumaycallit) and of course you have to pay. She introduced it to me. Then spread it to someone else and here I am spreading it to you. Meeting the right guy/girl is about taking some risks, making the decision to be serious about looking. I don't want to wait till I'm 40 to start....and for those who really don't want to sit on their bums waiting for God to throw a guy in your lap...

Check the link out!

I kinda miss drawing after looking at vonvon's pic. Being a teacher kinda drains one of
all artistic ability. I stopped writing, drawing, crafting cos I was too bz. So sad....
sometimes when I try and write again I have a terrified feeling all that creative energy has
been turned into smoke or something.

And doing all those things that I did for so many years now seems like a chore....

Anyways, will be taking a sabbatical next year cos of my health. =P, HODS all complaining about my MC rates.
Recently got into the craze to make cloth dollies. Going to see if I can make my own Nyanko stuff, but need to get different types of cloth.
Tried making my first dolly, but she's kinda wobbly. My Naruto one is still stark naked (HARHARHAR) since i don't have the orange cloth to make his outfit. Will head down to Clementi this weekend see can get or not.
And harhar to Michy regarding the Chinese Meds! I probably won't be far behind you.......T_T
BTW, if Vonz sees my entry, can tell me what putty you used to make your meows?
